Virtual MSHA Part 46 Annual Refresher Training Course
Description
This online instructor-led MSHA Part 46 Annual Refresher Training Course will be delivered remotely, using instructor-led online learning. This course content remains the same as classroom-based training, however, you’ll attend a scheduled, interactive class via video conferencing.
This Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Part 46 Annual Refresher course is designed to meet all regulatory requirements for affected workers who are required to complete a minimum of 8-Hours of refresher training every year to maintain compliance with MSHA regulations.
* Please Note – this course WILL NOT fulfil the training requirements of the Part 48 course. *
Objectives
At the end of this online instructor-led health and safety training course, successful students will demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the hazards associated with working at a mine site and be able to minimize the risks.

The virtual MSHA Part 46 Annual Refresher course will cover the following topics:

- Mine Changes
- Mandatory Health and Safety Standards
- Self-Rescue and Respiratory Devices
- Transportation Controls and Communications
- Escape and Emergency evacuation procedures
- Explosives
- Ground Control
- Hazard Communication
- Electrical Hazards
- First Aid Methods
- Accident Prevention
Assessment
Attendees will be required to attend full learning hours and achieve a passing score on all tests and assessments. On successful completion of this Miner Training, students will receive a 5000-23 MSHA certificate which is valid for 12 months.
Suggested Progression
Part 46 Refresher training will be required on an annual basis.
Who Should Attend
Miners or Contractors who hold a current, in-date P46 certificate and require a refresher.
Prerequisites
Only those delegates who have passed the MSHA P46 New Miner training course, or a previous MSHA P46 Annual Refresher course in the last 12 months, are eligible to attend this 8-hour annual refresher training.
