MEWP Operator 3a & 3b E-learning Training
This MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) operator online training course provides students with information on the safe use and operation of 3a and 3b machine classifications (scissor lifts and boom lifts) in an interactive online format designed to comply with applicable ANSI standards and OSHA regulations.
Designed to be completed at the students’ own pace, this online course allows for completion of the training in one session or over several sessions as needed.
* Please note that upon successful completion of the online training, the trainee is responsible for scheduling and completing a practical assessment under the direction of a qualified trainer in order to complete the training and validate the training credential. *
On successful completion of this online MEWP course, candidates will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the requirements for safe operation, rules and regulations, proper machine selection, inspection, and hazard avoidance.
In this MEWP online operator training course, candidates will receive instruction on the following:
- Classification of MEWPs
- Proper machine selection
- Operating Controls and functions
- Hazard recognition and avoidance
- Safe operating procedures
- Applicable regulations and standards
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
At the end of each section candidates will be required to complete a multiple-choice test and MUST achieve a passing score of 100% before moving to the next module.
Following the successful completion of the online training, candidates must schedule and successfully complete a practical assessment, or “hands-on” evaluation involving the actual operation of a MEWP to demonstrate proficiency under the guidance of a qualified instructor. Who Should Attend
Anyone who operates a MEWP will be required to complete training prior to machine operation.
PLEASE NOTE THAT UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE ONLINE TRAINING, THE TRAINEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING AND COMPLETING A PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT UNDER THE DIRECTION OF A QUALIFIED TRAINER IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE TRAINING AND VALIDATE THE TRAINING CREDENTIAL.
